So the localpeople project I've been working on these past x months (I'll be 34 in four days so counting quite that many months suddenly feels scary - let's just leave it at "x") continues apace, with the announcement going out yesterday that we're up to 70 sites and have launched a pretty whizzy iPhone app. You can, if you have iTunes, dowload the latter here http://itunes.com/app/localpeople, and is likely to be most useful if you live in or regularly visit one of the 70-odd towns we currently cover.
And that was Tuesday. Now it's Wednesday and we have some more sites a few hours old at Camdenpeople, which is being looked after by the excellent Zara Rabinowicz, and Truropeople, where our Community Publisher is the equally excellent Lynn Parr, previously from our Tavistock site. Other very recent launches of possible interest to fellow Londoners include Islington (which like Camden and indeed Greenwich has another ex-Shiny as Community Publisher, this time Abi Silvester); Highgate, where Lise Smith did such a good job with the Finsbury Park site that we gave her another one just down the road; and Battersea which is ably looked after by Anisa Kadri.
Lots if not all of our sites are now on the Openly Local map, which is incredibly useful for finding out whether there's already a hyperlocal site for your community.
